Quick Facts:Estimated Birthday: 1/24/2023Breed: Great Dane MixSize: roughly 100 poundsHouse Trained: Yes Athena came to the rescue after an amazing bystander overheard her owners planning to dump her at a dog park! This hero bystander jumped in and contacted us about taking in the dog. Athena may be a big girl, but she only has two speeds: 1. Play like crazy with her foster dog brothers, and 2. cuddle on the couch with a chew toy. Her favorite activity is playing with her foster dog brother, who is roughly about her size. She loves to cuddle with him and run in the yard with him. She is also a trained shadow… some may say “velcro dog”…and will follow you around the house. Athena is very dog-friendly to both large and small dogs. She walks well on a leash but does not enjoy car rides. She won’t fight it, but it’s her least favorite activity. She has not been cat tested. Athena is fully potty-trained, but she firmly believes that the rain will kill her, and sometimes, getting her to go out in storms can be a challenge. Athena would probably not be best left alone without supervision. She is a bit of a chewer. She is crated trained and sleeps in her crate. However, Athena is very smart and has learned how to escape a regular crate. She will need a heavy-duty, double-enforced one in her new home.
