Bonnie is a sweet 3-year old female Beagle mix who was brought to the HSOV on May 12, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Roberts Road in the Amesville Ohio area (along with her handsome male Beagle companion Clyde) after trying in vain to locate their owner. Neither Bonnie nor Clyde were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Bonnie has a black/brown/white tricolor short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful brown-and-white Beagle face with extra-large floppy ears. Bonnie has a cherry eye condition in her left eye (which is easily corrected with minor surgery). Both Bonnie & Clyde are super friendly and have the fun-loving outgoing personalities for which the Beagle breed is known. They were happy, happy, happy when HSOV Lead Kennel Tech Jared Nash and HSOV Kennel Tech Cadince Bibbee teamed up to take Bonnie & Clyde out together for their photo sessions on the afternoon of May 13th. Bonnie is a medium-sized Beagle girl who weighs 24.9 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Bonnie will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. UPDATE: Bonnie was examined by one of our wonderful local veterinarians and underwent surgery for the repair of her cherry eye on May 22, 2024. Bonnie was also spayed while she was under anesthesia. Both surgeries went well, and she is recovering nicely in a quiet area of our shelter.
