Adopt Briggs a Black American Pit Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier

Briggs is a big meatloaf. He is full of silly personality. Just a big lug looking for love, companionship and good moments in life. Briggs was abandoned early 2024 and left in an animal control facility. He did poorly on that environment and was extremely stressed and very reactive at his enclosure. Redemption stepped in and assessed this poor guy to see why he was getting along so badly. Turns out that he hates being alone, it was hard for him to see people and dogs pass him and have no one to lean on. Briggs also has poor eye sight that almost causes night blindness. He has a very hard time seeing in the dark and will run into things and stress if you are not around. Briggs has come a long way since being in the program and has truly shown his social and loving side. Briggs enjoys people, other dogs and even cats don’t seem to bother him. We will conduct a meeting between dogs Ofcourse prior to any adoption. Briggs likes dogs but will not tolerate any dog being aggressive towards himself. We learned from his original behaviors that he wants companionship. Briggs would do well in a home with another dog or cat and especially with a human that can spend quality time with him. Briggs is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash and aside from being a loud mouth is a lovely guy. We think the ideal household would have a flexible schedule that allows for lots of time together.
