Bruno is a pint- sized pup looking for a new start. Bruno lived in one home his whole life where he was housebroken and was described by his person as playful, smart and affectionate. He likes swimming, knows tricks, and is crate trained. While Bruno was a bit nervous when he first arrived at the shelter, he’s really come out of his shell and has showed all of his staff and volunteer friends what a sweet boy he is. Here’s what some of them have said:“Another volunteer and I took Bruno and his kennel mate to a play yard where he promptly sought affection from both of us. He enjoyed handling, tried to climb in our laps, and even gave kisses. He did not seem bothered by his kennel mate when she pushed in between for attention. He also took treats gently. Sweet boy!”“I took Bruno out for some enrichment- we went to the play yard and he walked very nicely. Once in the yard with me he would seek attention and wanted to climb into my lap. Since it was just he and I, I brought out two different toys, a plastic pig and a soft squeaker. He LOVED the plastic pig more than the squeaker and was very gentle when playing with it. He allowed me to take the toy from his mouth and we played fetch. He was very good and would drop the toy by me to pick up and throw back. At one point he even rolled the toy towards me. We played for a good 15-20 minutes and he loved every second of it. He would make the perfect pet for someone who is looking for a gentle player, someone to go on walks with, and someone to play in a nice yard.”Bruno may need time to warm up to new people, but he has a huge amount of love to give to his trusted humans. He shares his kennel and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Please ask to meet Bruno today!!
