Calliope is an extra large girl looking for someone with an extra large heart. Calliope takes a bit of time to warm up, so she's looking for her person or family that will give her that chance. Her foster has been taking her on adventures to Bass Pro where she is learning that people are not scary. In fact, she is loving the adventures and learning that there is a big wonderful world out there. Are you the family to help her continue to grow in confidence?Calliope is housetrained and kennel trained. Calliope is very smart and knows sit, lay down, fetch, and is working on shake! Calliope is currently living in a foster home. If you would like to learn more about her or meet her, please email XXXX@kcpetproject.org.Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in the shelter?
