Castro recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what his DDO buddy had to say! 1st DDO:"Castro had a great day out today! He Loves long walks, pup cups and lots of lovins! He's such a sweet boy and I can't believe he's still at the shelter. Castro is looking for his FURever home and here's some of his PAWsitive qualities: Loves car rides!! He was either snoozing in the back or gazing out the window smiling! Loves all people!! Doesn't seem to know a stranger! Treat Motivated and very gentle while taking them!! Loves walking, running and playing but can be very calm and affectionate as well!! (He LOVES to give kisses!!) Castro is the bestest boy ever! He was such a great companion for the day and whoever ends up with him should consider themselves very lucky!!" 2nd DDO:"I had the absolute pleasure of taking out my favorite buddy Castro again!! Our intentions were to go on a walk but it seems he had other plans and decided he wanted to go for a swim!! - Castro LOVES the water and had a great time playing and swimming, and of course he wanted to get in our laps afterwards for lovins! - He enjoys leading our walks but he's always looking back with a smile to reassure your still close behind. Which I find quite endearing! - He's a big boy but don't let that deter you he's just a big ole baby who is a huuuuge sucker for a pup cup! (We stopped TWICE for a pup cup just because he loves them so much!) - He is soooo friendly and greets everyone he meets with his big froggy smile! He loves all people and wanted to play with all the dogs we saw and watched curiously at the squirrels we passed but never chased them, he just sat and observed like the good boy he is! - Castro makes his presence known every time with his friendly attitude and goofy persona that never fails to make me laugh! It still amazes me that this 4 yr old boy that's 55lbs full of love hasn't found his FURever home!!" As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
