Is your current playful dog in need of a best friend? Chiefy is an amazing dog that has been all over social media looking for that perfect family to love him and give him a best friend for life. He has a few simple requirements for his perfect match so please check out his list: - Another dog to romp with and be my BFF- Someone who is home most of the day for frequent potty breaks and give me lots of love- A fenced yard so I have a place to do my zoomies and chase my BFF Chiefy is going to be a large guy who is mostly a lazy snuggle bug, but still has those playful times he like to wrestle and run around like all puppies. He enjoys playing fetch and chewing on his toys but does prefer a person around to keep him company and will keep checking to see if you are there. He is a vocal dog and almost sings himself to sleep and can grumble when he is excitedly playing. While he is not a fan of the crate, he is potty trained if you take him out frequently and an excellent sleep companion in your bed. He walks well on a leash, enjoys rides in the car and has spent some time as an office dog. Chiefy is food motivate and mealtime is his favorite time of day, but he knows he must sit before he can get his bowl. He loves meeting new people and does fantastic every time we take him out in public, the people at Home Depot love him. He lights up when he sees another dog and as much as he adores people, we think he would be happiest with another doggie playmate. There is something special about Chiefy and when you meet him you will feel it, from his enthusiastic energy welcoming you home from a long day to the cuddles he wants or his animated face coupled with his talkative nature, this guy is a keeper.Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
