Mister Chuck is a beautiful soul who has spent the last few months in a southern foster home and is now looking for his forever family.Chuck was a very sad stray in Memphis, TN who was saved just before a major ice storm/deep freeze hit the city back in January. He was so frightened and shut down when he first arrived, but time, patience and love led to his wonderful personality fully emerging!! Chuck has the gentlest heart of any dog, he needs a forever home where he will be treated gently in return. He would do best in a home where he can settle into a predictable routine and continue to grow in confidence.He will find a quiet corner when company comes over. He is not a climb all over you or sprawl across your lap dog; he's perfectly content to just curl up in his doggy bed while you socialize with others.Here is the thing about this boy: He, LOVES Other. Dogs. He NEEDS at least another canine family member to be his happiest self. By himself, he is quiet and reserved, but with his doggy friends he's a wiggly wagging boy! We don't feel he would be an "adventure buddy" or an exercise companion at this point.He is crated when left alone (even though he is fine about the house 99% of this time). No issues with separation anxiety.All this boy wants is safety, kindness, moral support and a doggy sibling (or two! or three!) to be his playmate(s).
