Adopt CJ a Black - with White Retriever (Unknown Type) / Wirehaired Pointing
We adopted CJ as a puppy. He is a wonderful and playful dog but as he grew older his fear aggression became more and more pronounced. We worked with many trainers but could not get him over his fear of strangers or overprotective nature of our house. He is very loving, loyal and protective of his family. We have been told by the family that boards him that he is never a problem the. He is a very energetic dog so he needs a big yard. He is not a cuddler but will come over and want loving for a while while you are relaxing at night. He can be very talkative but that is not a constant behavior. CJ is a good do for a home with adults or a family with older kids. A farm would be fantastic for him, he LOVES to be outside. Full disclosure: CJ has lunged at strangers. He does calm down eventually when they come in the home but since we are starting to have so many small kids in our family he needs a home where he can have more space to run and not be as stressed about who is in the house.
