Clayton! Clayton is a beautiful Weimaraner puppy who we are estimating to be around 8 months old. Clayton is a very typical young Weimaraner - he's got the looks, the energy, the love, the happiness and the smarts to prove it! Clayton had never been inside a home prior to coming to us and he was incredibly nervous, but he has made tremendous improvements since we've had him in our care! He came to us with two of his littermates and their mother, and he is by far the most dominant of the group. For this reason, we would not recommend Clayton going to a home with another dominant dog. He would do just fine as an only dog or with dogs who are on the more submissive side. Like any young dog, Clayton needs a family willing to invest their time in training him to allow him to be the best dog he can be. We are requiring Weimaraner or other high energy dog experience for applications to be considered for Clayton. He LOVES the water and would love to have a family with a pool or one who will take him to the beach to swim - we can't keep him out of the water! He can be a bit shy at first, likely due to the lack of socialization he'd had prior to coming to us, but he warms up quickly and definitely loves his people! Clayton is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and scheduled to be neutered with our vet in June, although we would be willing to adopt him with a neuter contract. He is here with us at Camp L4P in Sarasota, Florida and his adoption fee is $450.
