FRANCHESCA (Chessie) is such a cutie! Due to her family's housing situation, Chessie must find a new home.Chessie is a tiny girl, much smaller than most Jack Russell terriers. We think there might be some chihuahua in the mix? She is the perfect size to curl up on your lap.Chessie likes to go on walks. She will happily trot along beside you. If she is in a fenced area, her adopter will want to be sure it is little-dog secure because she can be an escape artist. She is used to be on a leash outside, and does not require a fenced yard. She needs a home without a lot of stairs, or someone willing to carry her up the steps. Her knees are a little arthritic, and that makes going up the steps hard. She rides great in the car, but she won't be much for road trip conversation because she will likely be snoozing. Chessie is sweet and likes to hang out with you. She will follow you around the house and hang out with you wherever you are. Her ideal home would be a quieter home. We think she would be a great companion for a retiree! She gets along well with other dogs, but she can put her sassy pants on at times and try to be bossy, so any other dogs in the home would need to understand that she is sometimes in charge. She also gets along well with the cat in her foster home. No small children for this little lady, though. Kids 12+ only. Chessie is house trained and crate trained.
