Goldie is a sweet and shy mom. One day, she just showed up outside her finder's house (we believed that she was abandoned because she was pregnant). A few weeks after her finder (who is Goldie's foster mom now) took her into her care, mama Goldie had four puppies who are also Sandy Paws dogs. Goldie is a chill dog. Most of the time, she just likes to lay on any soft bed and stares at her human. She is potty and crate-trained. This is what her foster mom says about Goldie: "adventurous, sweet, loving, playful, and goofy at times, craves affection, loves belly rubs, is energetic, gets along with large and small dogs." We don't know how she behaves with cats but the plan is to cat-test her soon. There are no children in her current foster home but we will kid-test Goldie soon as well. Goldie is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you).To adopt or learn more about: you must fill out an adoption application. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort.If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation.
