I adopted Hercules when he was about 9 months old from the local Houston SPCA. I already had another Anatolian shepherd, and they quickly bonded. He is a big, confident, and friendly guy - albeit a little had headed and stubborn. Hes great with people, kids, and dogs, but is not good with small animals. While he has gotten along with our cat, it’s taken a lot of work, patience, and training. Fast forward a few years and I met and married my now wife. After moving in, we learned about her severe dog allergies that have resulted in chronic autoimmune issues. We have tried grooming, robot vacuums, HEPA filters, and everything else we can think of with no major improvement. Its been years and we are at the point that we want to make sure Hercules can find a new home while still being young enough to adapt to it. We hope he can find a loving family who is aware of the breed, their strong will and equally big personalities. We will not have him surrendered or fostered until then.
