Hi there, my name is Hershey and I am a handsome German Shorthaired Pointer & Terrier mix, about 1 year old, and I weigh 70 lbs. My foster mom found me when I was a puppy roaming around a South Texas mall by myself. Nobody claimed me, so she brought me home and took very nice care of me. Now that I am neutered and have had all my vaccines I am ready to find a forever family. I am a very sweet boy, friendly with everyone young and old, and I get along great with other dogs. We have a kitty cat in the house and although I will bark at him, I have never chased him. I am playful and love squeaky toys, and running zoomies. My foster mom calls me her loveable goofball because sometimes when I’m romping around I’ll trip over my own big paws. I am affectionate but not overly and I enjoy hanging out with my people. I am already housebroken and know how to use a doggy door. I sleep in a doggy bed and even though I am not in love with being in a crate I will tolerate it without a fuss. I only bark to alert, and am practicing some leash walking and doing great. I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.
