Horton is the largest of his litter, weighing in at 27 pounds of pure love and joy. He's a 3-month old Lab mix who will likely be an big boy when full grown. As a typical puppy, he's still mastering the art of house-training, but he's making great progress. He does wonderfully in his crate when his foster mom is away, though at night, he prefers to snuggle up in bed with his foster mom and his canine foster siblings. Horton is an easy-going pup who enjoys hanging out around the house, spending time in the yard, and playing with toys and other dogs.Horton is great with big dogs, small dogs, women, and kids, making him a versatile addition to any family. He's friendly, adaptable, happy, and playful, with a special knack for following his person around all day. Whether it’s playing fetch, enjoying a good chew, or sitting in your lap, Horton is always up for some fun.From his foster mom: "Horton is a super sweet boy who fits right in with our family. When the other dogs are playing, he'll join in the romp, but when things are calm, he's content to be near me, often lying at my feet while I work at my desk. Horton loves knowing where I am and will whine if he's not distracted by another dog. He’s doing well keeping a clean crate when I'm gone and is learning commands like 'sit' and 'crate'—he’s very smart and treat-motivated. Though he has the occasional accident, he's getting the hang of using potty pads by the door.He's become more comfortable and confident, taking toys from the other dogs and occasionally chewing on things he shouldn't. Horton loves being around me and the other dogs. If he whines in the crate at night, I bring him into bed with me, where he sleeps soundly and whines only when he needs to potty—no accidents since we started this routine!
