Adopt Inessa a Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed dog in
"From a petsitter's point of view, Inessa is 1 of those dogs who may not initially stand out in the crowd of dogs looking for their forever families...but she is truly an outstanding dog! This is 1 of those dogs I would foster in a 2nd if there were any way I possibly could. She may come across as a little shy to some people at 1st, and Inessa is 1 of those dogs who will really reach her full potential when she finds her forever home. She is incredibly people oriented, and picks up on commands superfast...especially when there are treats involved! She doesn't have to be bribed at all to be a total sweetheart. She takes her cues from people, and even if she's a little frightened of something at 1st, she is willing to still go check it out if a person she trusts tells her it's ok. She wants to be close and likes to keep you in sight, although she usually is not obnoxious about it. It's a little more like trailing you around. If you invite her to snuggle with you, though , she is all for that. She loves to just gaze into your eyes as you scratch the spot behind her ear. So far, she doesn't seem to be very hyper - a short walk in the yard pretty much seems to fill her exercise needs, then she's happy to just hang out quietly. She does like to keep a person in sight all the time, so may make an ideal companion for someone who works from home. From what I understand, she has done ok with some dogs, but seems to see some as a challenge, so may need to be the only dog. Since she is so laid back, though, she doesn't really seem like she would need (or want) a playmate other than a human! She has always been gentle and polite about asking for attention without another dog around, though. She is a very sensitive, lovable soul who will absolutely live for her people.
