Poor Jimbo came to Hero very frail and thin after a local shelter reached out to us asking to help. Clearly he has been on his own for a while, but that did not stop him from being as sweet and loving as a dog can be. Jimbo wants nothing more than the company of his person so he can rest his head on your lap. Did anyone say "belly rubs" ? Those are his absolute favorite. He still needs a few pounds put on, and 3 to 4 small daily meals until he gets to his ideal weight of about 25 lbs. He is both potty & crate trained, and friendly with both people & other dogs. If you want a true loyal companion, come and meet Jimbo - you won't be sorry. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
