Adopt Kawasaki (aka Gunner) a Tan/Yellow/Fawn American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed

Kawasaki is ready for adventure! He has a lot of playful energy and would love a family that can match. He's super happy and loves meeting people! He has previous experience of doing well with dogs and kids. His foster says " Gunner has been such a good boy since the day I picked him up! He is the cuddliest and sleepiest dog with a great temperament, however, he can muster up a good amount of energy when he finds out he is going on a walk or a car ride. He does amazing in the house, he has gotten a little sassy when being told to go kennel when he doesn't want to but he has already gotten so much better. He knows 'sit', and 'easy' he is super gentle when taking treats, he just learned 'lay down', and he is getting better at 'stay'. He does still need some work on the leash but I have been doing a lot with him and it's mainly excitement or a squirrel! After he gets used to where he is he does great and he has been learning 'heel'. He has loved going on trails around Columbia. He has not come in direct contact with any dogs in my care, but he does great from a distance and seems like he would like to play. His favorite place in the world is the bed lying next to you. He sleeps through the night curled up next to me, and usually sleeps in longer than me in the mornings too. He loves to go on car rides and has gotten much better about his manners in the car. His favorite special treats are vanilla ice cream and peanut butter. He's not a huge toy guy but loves chewing on bones and the Kong toy with peanut butter inside. He is very smart and food-motivated, he has learned his new commands very fast! Gunner is the sweetest boy looking for his forever companion!
