My brother Oriel and I were surrendered to CARE by our previous owners. Being left at the shelter was a traumatic experience, but I’ve settled into my new surroundings and have wiggled my way into the hearts of the staff and volunteers. They tell me I’m an eternal puppy who makes friends with everyone (a bit hesitant with certain men) and never runs out of energy. I crave attention and affection, especially pets on my head, chin, and neck. I like being as close as possible to people and am at my calmest when being shown love. Walks—I call them “sniffs”—are another favorite activity. My walking style is erratic, as I like to move from side-to-side to make sure I don’t miss anything. So I’ll definitely need you to work with me on my leash manners. I’m always up for a game of chase the ball or squeaky and am really good about returning my toys and dropping them at your feet—anything to keep you playing with me. I don’t seem to have had any obedience training and am just starting to learn some basic commands. But please keep teaching me, because I’m very treat-motivated and will work for rewards. I’m potty trained and tolerate my crate, although I do bark when left alone.
