Adopt Lava Girl a American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed dog in New Bern

This girl is very dog social with both big and small dogs. She loves to play and would be happiest if her new home had some doggy friends to play with 🐶 She is crate trained and is a very quiet girl unless something spooks her. She will bark at new people who enter the house but once she knows them… she’s all good! 😊 and she will bark at suspicious noises (ice makers, vacuums, doorbells etc.) Those noises and new things do still make her very skittish but she just needs continued exposure to help build some confidence… she has come such a long way. She does like children but younger ones do make her very nervous so she would do best in a home with kids 12+ She enjoys the company of other dogs and is more of a submissive playmate. She would be good with a chill dog or a more energetic dog that wanted to play with her a little bit. Doing great with kennel + potty training, she’s very quiet. But you will see her sassy side at breakfast & dinner times… she is very food motivated. This girl is the sweetest. She likes people, but is just still a little bit unsure about the world. She’s a great leash walker, just scared of passing cars, motorcycles etc. Lava loves to be outside playing with sticks and toys. She has a really calm disposition and doesn’t jump on people.
