I am looking for a temp foster from June 8-13 (or a forever family by then works too!) Please CLICK HERE to sign up to foster! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt I am Love Bug. I am from Minnesota. I promise to live up to the name Love Bug! I am a very gentle, loyal, and cuddly boy. My fosters describe me as very affectionate. If I had it my way, we'd cuddle all day. Some people say I'm not a lap dog, and those people are wrong. You should see how tightly I can squeeze in! When I'm not snuggled up, I enjoy being active; long walks are my favorite! I need about 30 minutes of some time sort of activity each day, otherwise I'm fairly calm but still playful. I also enjoy spending time outside. My foster family lives on a corner lot that is perfect for people-watching. Other times, I like to chew on a toy quietly. I am a bit sensitive and sometimes I get nervous around new dogs and new people, especially when there are many of them. I can get a bit protective of my people, so slow introductions are best. However, that does not mean I do not like making new friends. I LOVE people and I LOVE playing with other dogs, I just need proper introductions. I have some experience with cats, but my foster parents have been very careful to keep an eye on me because I sometimes find them exciting and want to chase or nip at them. I can't help it, I definitely have some herding in my DNA. I have been learning basic commands and have made a lot of progress; I have mastered sitting! I am pretty good at "stay, "leave it "off" and "crate too. My fosters say I'm a quick learner. I am fully house-trained; I have not had an accident the entire time I have been with my foster. I am crate-trained, too, but I sometimes express my disapproval of being in it. From his foster: Love Bug is currently on medication for anxiety, which has helped him a lot. Love Bug needs to go to a home without shared walls.
