*** Due to a generous donor, Mariposa's adoption fee is waived! ***** I am currently being housed at our New York Avenue location. Come meet me at 1201 New York Avenue NE, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. ** My name is Mariposa, Butterfly in Spanish, because I wiggle like crazy when you come home! I am a 3-year old happy little gal that gets around on three legs. It certainly does not slow me down a bit. I have been through a thing or two in life and at times may need a bit of help gaining confidence and feeling safe. But yummy treats and a bit of patience go a long way. I am an advanced beginner of the basic manners -- sit, touch, and "find it" are already part of my standard repertoire. And I am adding to my portfolio of skills daily. Other than that, I love my daily walks and a good chew treat or kong. I am also an expert napper while you are at the office or work from home.
