Maser recently arrived in NJ from Texas and is looking for his forever family. He is 8 years old and weighs 17 pounds. He still has some pep in his step when needed but is also very content to snooze the day away. He has a very mild heart murmur that is not causing any issues at this point but will need yearly monitoring. Both eyes need meds given throughout the day for the rest of his life. The left eye has minimal vision and may need removal if it becomes painful, but at this time daily meds and monitoring for glaucoma will be needed. Maser's owner brought him to a Texas shelter as a "euthanasia request" as they could no longer care for him. Just in the nick of time, this senior Shih Tzu was pulled to safety by NorthStar Pet Rescue as they felt that this sweet senior still had some life in him!
