Have you ever wondered what it was like to have an angel in your home? Well, with Miss Peaches, you'll know. She is the sweestest, most soulful dog you'll ever meet. She loves to curl up on the couch or bed and watch out the windows, or simply sit beside you while you work or spend time at home. Her favorite time of the day is when the sunlight hits the disco ball and she gets to watch the light stream across the room. She's so observant of the world around her! (If you have a mirror, you can catch her checking herself out too). She is totally fine to be left alone for a few hours and she doesn't make a peep, so she'd fit right in any type of home or apartment. When you return, she will greet you with a big smile, lots of tail wags and a hearty anticipation for a head scratch. She's almost entirely pee-pad trained and getting better every day at going to the bathroom outside. She's still getting comfortable with being outside - when she first got to New York, she was clearly very anxious about walking outside, but each day she's getting better and neighbors are even complimenting her progress and confidence. She's very friendly towards dogs and people. In fact, seeing another dog lights up her spirits and helps her get excited to be outside. And she's sweet on any person who will stop to give her some love. She's much more confident walking in the park than on busy traffic streets, but is doing a great job acclimating to both settings. She's clearly been through a lot in her life but her heart is so good and so ready for a forever home. If you're looking for an easy-going, curious companion who is full of light and love, look no further. Anyone would be lucky to call her their sweet girl.She is low shed!Loving, gentle, curious.Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 1-3, incredibly calm and low-key but also curious.Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: A very quiet gal! Walking Manners: She's a nervous walker, but getting more comfortable with time. She doesn't pull on the leash, but will sometimes freeze with loud noises until you coax her to keep going with a treat. She walks well with other dogs to follow too! Appetite: At first mild but she's definitely an eater! She does a little happy dance before meals and would never say no to a slice of turkey, a meat treat or even plain white rice (she loves rice).Does the following: (Gets car sick, nervous outside, has separation anxiety, hates the bath, none of the above) -- So far, none of the above! Favorite Things: Head pets/scratches, little pieces of turkey as a treat, watching the light reflect off a disco ball.Commands/Tricks: She's still learning!ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract.
