Adopt New Destiny a Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut Golden Retriever / Husky / Mixed

Location:
Tulsa, OK
Description:

If this gal's eyes don't capture your attention, her beautiful cream-colored coat surely will....and if somehow that doesn't strike your fancy...her personality will surely have you submitting an application for her! This gorgeous girl is New Destiny. I am sure you are curious about where her name came from. Well, despite her gorgeous looks and fun personality, this girl found herself on death row in the shelter when she was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. She was only hours away from being euthanized in an overcrowded shelter when we had a foster family step up for her. It was a group effort to get her safe from shelter volunteers to transporters, to a temp foster, to finally getting her to her foster family. She is a perfect example of people coming together to give her a second chance and that is why she was named New Destiny. Because she deserved so much more than what she was given, and now she has a "New Destiny" ahead of her. One full of life, love, and adventure! Destiny is an 8-month-old, 40lb female Golden Retriever/Husky mix with a personality as delightful as her fluffy butt. She's the perfect blend for someone seeking a furball that doesn’t quite reach Pyrabear size but also isn’t a pint-sized yappy dog tripping you up at every turn. This little lady is up for anything – from hitting the town and strutting her stuff on walks to tackling a hike or two. But don't let her adventurous side fool you; Destiny also knows how to kick back and relax. She's a master of chill, perfectly happy to entertain herself with toys, play with other dogs, or find the coolest spot to flop down and enjoy a good nap. She's discovered the wonders of air conditioning and has no plans of giving that up anytime soon. She’s basically your personal fluffy AC enthusiast! When she's not basking in the glory of indoor climate control, Destiny loves playing with toys and engaging in epic games of keep-away. Just toss her a toy, and watch her transform into the sassiest little trickster. She’ll dart around, making you work for it like you’re auditioning for a canine version of "The Great Toy Chase." As for water, Destiny is still on the fence. She hasn't quite tested her sea legs yet, so the jury's still out on whether she'll become a merdog or stick to being a landlubber. Either way, she's ready to be your loyal companion, providing endless laughs and love. Destiny is a social superstar who gets along famously with other dogs, cats, and kids. Her canine companions have played a big role in boosting her confidence and are her go-to partners for energy-burning play sessions. When it comes to cats, Destiny is as chill as a cucumber. She treats the resident feline like part of the furniture—acknowledging the cat's existence without making a fuss. It’s as if she’s saying, "You do you, and I’ll do me." But Destiny's true passion? Kids! She absolutely adores them and transforms into a bundle of joy whenever they’re around. She’s the quintessential kid dog, always eager to join in their games and snuggle up for story time. Destiny’s enthusiasm for meeting new people is infectious—she’s the life of the party, especially when there are children to charm. Destiny's got the potty routine down pat, like a furry little clock. However, she's yet to master the art of signaling her need for a bathroom break. She's a bit shy about it, bless her heart, but as long as you stick to a regular schedule of potty breaks, she's golden—pun absolutely intended. Destiny has a bit of a mischievous streak. She loves getting things off the counter and has even figured out how to get the lids off containers. Clever girl! If you ever find your peanut butter jar mysteriously open, you’ll know who the culprit is. She’s a regular Houdini with a taste for kitchen adventures. Destiny isn’t much of a barker. She only joins in if the other dogs start barking. It’s like she’s saying, “I don’t know what we’re barking about, but I’m here to support you guys!” A true team player in the canine chorus. Once she’s settled in, Destiny can have free roam. She really doesn’t mind the crate at all, so whatever works best for you. Just give her a thick, squishy blanket to lay on and keep that air conditioning flowing, and she’ll be as happy as a clam. Or, more accurately, a very chilled-out pup! So, if you're in need of some laughs, cuddles, and a dash of chaos (in the best possible way), look no further than Destiny. She's ready to embark on all the wacky adventures life has to offer, with you by her side. Who knows what escapades await? One thing's for sure: with Destiny around, every day is guaranteed to be a tail-wagging good time filled with lots of love and fun! 📍 Pickup Location: Skiatook, OK📝 Apply at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
