Paloma is a very good girl who warms up quickly to new people! She is a perfect combination of walking partner and cuddler. She is learning to play with toys but her favorite activity is getting LOTS of pets and chilling with you wherever you are. She really wants to be with her people! She enjoys the company of other dogs too. Paloma is a very polite girl. She doesn’t jump, is not mouthy and gently takes treats from your hands. She is very food motivated for tasty treats!Paloma is comfortable in her crate and sleeps well there through the night. She rides well in the car and is potty trained as well.She enjoys chasing the bunnies in the yard so she seems to have a prey drive and would probably not be a fit for a home with cats.Paloma was rescued in very bad conditions in the streets of Mexico, and completed heartworm treatment before traveling to MA to find her furever home. is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort.If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation.
