05/24/24 05:30DOG DAY OUT REPORTToday I got to go on my first Doggie Day Out and I had so much fun! My friend took me on an adventure and we went hiking. I saw lots of people and bicycles and some big and small dogs and showed off how polite I am. I also saw some squirrels and those were super interesting! I wanted to go check them out more, but my friend said its better we continue on our way. I enjoyed all the new smells and the exercise. Afterwards my friend got me a pup cup and I took my time enjoying it! Three Words to Describe Me are: Sweet, Active, HandsomeNotes from My Walker: Parker Crane and I went on his first Doggie Day Out! He was excited to get going and hopped right into the car. He was a little antsy in the car and sought some comfort from me so I offered him some chin scratches. Boy does he love chin scratches! He rested his head on my hand and was in heaven. He even nudged me for more when I stopped! So cute. When we got to the hiking spot, he was so excited and ready to go! He pulled initially but settled after maybe 10-15 minutes into just a mild pull and adjusted to the environment and adventure. Parker had excellent trail manners. We saw numerous mountain bikers on the narrow trail and Parker was patient as we let them pass us by. He also passed little dogs and a big dog politely! He shows interest in the dogs but does not pull towards them or react. (I know that at the shelter he loves participating in doggie playgroups!) Parker was not food motivated on our excursion so it was great to see that he required no management to pass people and dogs. After our lovely hike, Parker relaxed in the backseat, every now and then checking in for some chin scratches. I got him a pup cup and it was very cute to see how he savored it! Parker is a very adorable, sweet, active boy and we had a great day together!
