Meet Pete, a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix.Pete is such an awesome dog. He is happy and excited to meet anyone that comes up to him. Scout has very traditional shepherd colors but has a longer and fuller coat. He does well on his leash and loves to get out any opportunity to explore and sniff around the park. Pete is going to make a loving and loyal companion.The kind people that found Pete said that he is great in the outdoor dog run. He doesn't soil his run but waits to be walked. Pete doesn't seem to have experience in car rides. The finders didn't house him with their other dog but did see Pete play bow through the fence. Pete let's you hold his paws, look in his ears, and brush him. He is very excited to see people and will jump up. He does know sit.This pet is available for adoption on 5/20/24 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-XXXX.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
