At seven years old, Pirate Pete (also known as Petey) has retired from a life on the sea, and he’s looking for a home where he can stash his treasure and rest his bum leg. That’s right–ol’ Petey has a ton of life experience with some salt and pepper fur to match. But don’t be deterred by his rugged looks! This rascal has tons of love to give and a very charming personality. He lives for attention and will put his paws up on your legs when he’s ready to be held. If you’re doing chores, he will patter along at your heels, wanting to be as close to you as possible. One thing to know about Petey is he will occasionally get grumpy if he is feeling ignored or if he wants a tasty bite. This cutie will grumble and growl, showing off his best pirate talk until he gets his way. Despite his occasional grouchiness, he loves people and should settle nicely into a quiet home. Petey would do best as a solo dog where he can get all the attention he deserves. He is pretty low effort and prefers cozying up in his bed over long walks.
