Posey is very timid around people and will visibly shake when approached. She requires a quiet adult-only household. A confident dog sibling around her size (15 lbs) would be the best for her to acclimate to her surroundings. She interacts with the resident chihuahua in her foster home and has shown interest in playing but hasn't quite got the hang of it yet. Posey likes to explore in the fenced-in yard but doesn't have any leash skills for walking. She gets very scared when a human holds her leash. She is pee pad trained inside and needs continued work on going potty outside. Posey loves snoozing in a comfy dog bed or looking out the window from the back of the couch. She is getting more active after several weeks as she gets more comfortable. Her adopter needs to have patience to allow her to adapt at her own pace. She is generally well-behaved when left home alone but has occasionally reached into the trash can to remove some irresistible items.
