Hey, my name is Rasta and I am a four-year-old chow mix. I can't tell you how happy I am to be sitting in my nice big dog run at the shelter! You see it is a big change for me! I have a big bowl of food, a roomy dog run, and I am inside a nice cozy building. When the kind deputy found me I had been abandoned by my family. He discovered that I had spent my entire life on a chain. I was not in good shape. My coat was matted and had to be shaved down. While I have been at the shelter, I have gotten all of my vaccinations, I got a microchip, and I have been neutered. One problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive. I am not worried! The shelter took me from a horrible situation and got me ready to find a new home. I know they will see me through my treatment and then help me find a great new home.
