UPDATE!!Meet Rio! This sweet boy was surrendered due to his owner not being able to provide the attention he needs and wanting better for this friendly, energetic pup. Rio is a heeler mix. He is approximately 1 year old and weighs 45lbs. Rio has grown up in a home and been socialized with people and other animals. He loves his daily walks, occasional doggy daycare visits, and he'll play fetch for hours. He is kennel trained, but is having to spend too much time in the kennel due to the busy lifestyle of the family. Rio would do best with an active family who has time to give him the attention he needs. A bonus would be another dog buddy and/or older children. He hasn't been tested with cats. He is utd, altered and ready for his forever home!Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption.Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
