Adopt Scout #2 a Tan/Yellow/Fawn Labrador Retriever / Mixed dog in Towson
Scout #2 is a 3-year-old neutered male yellow labrador. Scout weighs 50 lbs and is up to date on shots. Scout is a very wonderful dog who is nice with people and with other dogs. Cats are unknown. There is no history of Scout living with kids so he is approved for kids ages ten and up. From the transporter: Scout was a bit shy at 1st but warmed up to me by the time I dropped him off. UPDATE: Scout is a shy sweetheart who is getting used to life in the city. He rode like a dream for the long drive from the veterinarian to his foster. He is doing fine in a townhouse and learned to negotiate the stairs. He isn’t crazy about being put in his crate, but he will quiet down quickly and is content to sleep there. Scout recently had FHO surgery and still has the scar to show for it; however, he is doing very well on his walks, which he loves! He still favors his repaired hip, but it is predicted he should be well with continued exercise including lots of short walks. Scout doesn’t pull on his leash unless he spies a squirrel or rabbit and he seems okay with traffic noises. He ignores the cat. Scout loves to be near to his people and wants to have his foster in sight at all times, or better yet, snooze beside her on the couch. He does not like to be left in the yard alone and so far he prefers to do his business on the end of a leash. Scout is a bit reactive to other dogs and nervous around new activity. He needs a calm home and adopters that will be patient as he learns more about the world! Scout needs to gain confidence but he is so eager to please and is a real love bug! This dog is available for adoption from Labrador Rescue LRCP.
