Meet Solar Storm! Solar Storm came to us on April 19th along with six other white terriers after their owner passed away. She is 11 years old and weighs 19.5 lbs. Solar Storm is a friendly, loving girl who enjoys getting pets and attentions for everyone that enters the play yard. While she gets along very well with her brothers, Solar Storm also does great with the other dogs in our play yard. She is a love bug! Solar Storm is currently on a Frosted Fling, so we can learn what she is like in a home. We received a great update from her Fling Mom: "Storm is funny, sassy, and adorable. She's a happy little lady who is up for anything. She is great in the car and on walks. She loves the beach! It's hard to believe she's already been here for 2 weeks. She's such a lovely little houseguest that we've decided to extend her fling for at least another week. Some highlights: - Storm is great with our dogs and cat. I think she would be happiest in a home with another dog she can cuddle with.- She has a fantastic appetite.- She's outgoing and affectionate. - Every morning she gives us sweet little kisses. At bedtime she will gently climb up on our chests to kiss us goodnight, then go get cozy somewhere.- She sleeps through the night- She knows to potty outside. It took about a week for her to get on our schedule. There were a few potty accidents during that time, which is totally normal and expected. She does use potty pads. We used treats and praise every time she went potty outside. Her second week here there haven't been any accidents! Solar Storm's fun personality comes out more each day. She now runs and jumps in excitement to greet us when we come home. She's been doing some random zoomies, too. She rarely barks anymore. The first few days she did some barking while she was adjusting. We just gave her time to decompress and made sure she felt safe. She has lost so much recently.
