Animal Profile: Sysco is an estimated 6-month-old female spayed mixed breed (bully breeds). She and her 3 siblings were surrendered to Freer Animal Shelter and were then taken in by our rescue partner in Texas. Sysco's litter mates came to DGS earlier this year and found homes but she had to be held back due to a skin condition. That's since been resolved and Sysco has spent seven weeks in foster care, with small-breed and large-breed dogs, cats, and of course humans. She loves everyone! She's good in the crate and house trained, gentle with small animals and playful with big animals. She is sweet, snuggly and playful -- the full package. Foster Update: If you are looking for an energetic canine companion for walks and day hikes come meet Sysco! She loves spending time outside exploring and playing fetch. She is eager to hop in the car and go for rides and will do well in an active household where she can join in the fun. Sysco engages our resident German Shepherd in play and was curious about a cat who visited us last weekend. She plays and cuddles our grade school age kids and is excited when they arrive home from school each day. Sysco is house and crate trained; she sleeps on a dog bed at night and uses the doggie door when needed. She will bark at other dogs when out for a walk, which we are working on, and continues to work on leash manners. Food is a wonderful motivator for Sysco! Sweet Sysco would like to live with other dogs and children are a plus as well. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and are not considering apartments at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
