How this pet arrived: Thor was brought in by his previous owner. At SDHS: Thor has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Thor is now ready for his new home! Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Thor, He is a sweet boy who will need a home that will let him go at his own pace: Here is a bit of information on Thor: Thor entered care with another dog in May 2024, displaying fearful behavior. When receiving initial intake treatments, Thor displayed high levels of fear, anxiety, stress including chewing through the leash and displaying piloerection when staff were handling him. Over time, Thor has become more comfortable and has developed positive social behavior with staff..Cats:No known history.Dogs:No history while in care. Thor lived with four other dogs (some of whom were related to him), but had no exposure to other dogs while living with his previous owner.Kids:Due to fearful behavior, Thor is required to be adopted into a home without children under the age of 12. All children in household should be able to comprehend and adhere to consent petting (pat, pet, pause) and be aware when Thor may need breaks from handling and petting.
