Meet TOOTIE! She's 1 year young, 47.4lbs and heartworm negative, a pretty yellow lab/chessie mix. She is in foster where she loves attention. She can get underfoot a bit because she simply adores being at your side. If you sit down, she is in your lap. She will happily accompany you for any activity, even if she's a little nervous doing something new. She is a very submissive girl. She is smart and thrives on praise and attention. She comes when called and readily sits on command. Tootie has excellent leash manners. She is regaining her confidence so nicely since arriving to us as an injured stray. She dives into bushes when she smells a rabbit or squirrel. She loves to frolic in ever widening circles and loops. Tootie comes directly to you for a hug and some snuggling and then off she goes to circle and jump again, just checking back occasionally to make sure you are still there. She has learned how to play with her foster lab brothers now and they have a great time together. She enjoys playing with other dogs. She has ignored the cats inside our Bridge facility and when outside on leash. She hasn't encountered any cats outside when off leash. She likes to chase squirrels in our backyard. With humans, she is so submissive. Tootie will make an absolutely sweet companion for anyone and a loving pet for children.
