Vader was surrendered due to his energetic behavior & food stealing. He's been in the same home since he was just a couple months old. Vader is like most GSPs that we see at the shelter...a dog that would highly benefit from professional dog training. Rarely does this breed not require some training to exhibit "manners inside the home. This breed is meant for hunting & it doesn't appear too late for Vader to learn. He loves playing with kids, squeaky toys, & other toys. Vader likes cats & dogs alike, just can't be rehomed near chickens or other birds. Vader has never been in a crate & is used to a doggy door that allowed him to go inside & out at his leisure. Vader is very food motivated & will get into trash & on countertops if there's food involved. The ideal home would be experienced with this breed & can create a structured home with training. Needs land to run around in or a LARGE back yard!
