Walker embodies what his breed profile states: the energetic protector. He is 4 years old and is usually calm when at home. He does not chew things, only barks when someone approaches the home, and is house trained. However, he can get excitable on car rides and on walks. He does best on a gentle lead. He is weary of new people but warms up quickly. He has never bitten anyone or been aggressive towards people or other animals. He has lived with a cat his whole life, but he might do best in a home without a cat because he takes too high of an interest and tended to annoy the cat. He loves his squeaky toys and looking out the window at squirrels and chasing the laser pointer around the yard. We sadly have to rehome him because we have a small baby at home and Walker is too energetic for what we can handle at this time in our lives. He would do well with someone who has time for lots of walks, throwing the ball for him, and possibly a little extra training.
