Meet Willam! This almost 3-year-old pup has been back and forth from the shelter since he was just a baby. Willam was most recently returned to Animal Friends when he got loose on his previous owners - shortly after, our staff and volunteers noticed Willam favoring his right hind leg and constantly limping. Our dedicated medical department looked over Willam and found out he tore his CCL and would need a surgery to correct this tear. One of Willam's handlers, decided to foster him for his pre and post-op so he could recover comfortably in a home. Willam has made an almost full recovery and is back to his playful, energetic self! Once Willam gets to know you - he will become your absolute best friend and will want to follow you around everywhere, playing with his favorite stuffed toys and receiving cuddles. He can be a shy boy and is not overly confident when it comes to meeting new people or in new environments so slow introductions with a yummy treat in hand is ideal. Willam would do best in a home with children 13-years or older, who will understand his body language and continue his positive reinforcement training. Willam may like to have dog friends, however he is unable to live with another dog due to his previous leg injury. Willam is also unable to live with cats.
