This lovely little lady is gonna give you all the attention you could ever want. Want to sit and watch TV? Agens will be tucked in next to you on the couch (though you may need to raise the volume to help hear over her snores). Going into the kitchen to get a snack or make some dinner? Agnes will come and watch, never judging the food choices you make. Need to shed a tear after a rough day? Agnes will stare up at you, letting you know she’s there to comfort you. This sweet girl will force you to slow down and enjoy your walks, as she doesn’t move too quickly anymore. Even with short walks, she will come back in and snuggle right up to where you are and take a snooze until the next walk. She doesn’t seem to know what to do with toys, but she loves a good chew and has learned to love doggy ice cream. She is able to coexist with another dog sibling with proper intros, but she won’t be interested in playing with them. She has learned that strange humans are likely okay and will probably give her pets if she approaches nicely. But strange dogs stress her out, so she asks that you help her keep some space when she has to cross them on walks. In her previous life, she must have spent a lot of time in a crate, because when I brought her in and showed it to her, she walked right in and layed down. However, she has learned to love the free-roaming lifestyle and will be completely content kept in a room or left with the run of the whole place. All she would request is a good fuzzy blanket to chill under until you return, and she can cozy up next to you. Agnes has clearly been a mom more than once. She must miss her puppies, because she takes a stuffed sloth and cares for it and gets stressed when it squeaks. (Adopter can take the sloth with her!)
