American Pit Bull Terrier Mix Dog for Adoption in Chandler, Arizona, 85248 USNickname: MELLOW Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). MEET MELLOW!!! Mello is a sweet boy who was found as a stray and sent to MCACC, so there is little known about his history. However, he has been in foster for several weeks and doing great! The MCACC staff described him as calm, walking well on a leach and non dog reactive. He may be a little cautious with new people at first, but he quickly warms up and is a friendly, calm, goofy and loving boy! He is house trained and crate trained. However, he does have some kennel anxiety when left alone in a crate. He requires a sturdy crate as it was discovered he is a little Houdini and is able to break his way out of a regular wire crate. He enjoys playing with lots of dog toys and knows basic commands like sit and lay down. He is a counter surfer, so he will need some training to correct. Mellow has been living with older children and three other dogs. He has done great with all of them except the alpha dog of the group. It is recommended he be an only dog or go to a home without an already established alpha dog. Mellow will be the perfect companion for one lucky home for many years to come. Meet Mellow today!
