Available - Dorey English Setter Adult Female
Pine Grove, PA
Socialization/training: Dorey is a love and gets along with everyone.Crate trained: She is comfortable in a big crate but prefers to sleep with or near her family. She likes to sleep at the bottom of the bed. She has a large head and broad chest but has slender midsection and hips so her back legs are not strong enough to get up on a high bed so she puts her front paws on the bed and asks for help.Leash trained: Please don’t tell Dorey she is a senior because she thing thinks she is young kid who loves her walks. She will make a wonderful walking companion. She does have harness that will come with her things.Activity Level: She is energetic and wants to be with her people and enjoy what they are doing.Fence: A fence is not required. She would do best with a fence and will not challenge even a small fence.Behavior: She just wants to be with her family and know here they are at all times. She will cuddle but can adjust to the situation. She had some bad grooming in the past so she is very nervous when being groomed. Foster mom is using a pair of grooming gloves and a few brushes that make it easy and helps her think she is being patted.Medical History: Dory is spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccinations and on HWP. Foster Comments: One look into these expressive brown eyes will have you in love with Dorey. She is just beautiful girl who lives to love and be loved. I would adopt Dorey because she is a gem, but I do have another dog in a relatively small home. She does have a prey drive, so would do better in a home without smaller dogs or cats. The family who adopts Dorey will wonder how they got along without her.Foster Location: Cape Cod, MAVolunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be an additional charge of $50.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (“Health Certificate”). Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000-mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000-mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog. Transports to far Western states, from Eastern states, may have additional restrictions.##989100##If you have any questions or would like to adopt Available - Dorey, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
