Beagle Mix Dog for Adoption in Springdale, Pennsylvania, 15144 USNickname: Betty Dog Breed: Beagle / Mixed. My name is Betty and they're estimating me to be about 7yrs old and some kind of beagle mix. I'm shaped like a bassett but have short ears. I'm only 35lbs so I can still be picked up if need be but I like to use my feet. I came from a very scary shelter and had been there a long time until my foster family took me in. I had these bumps on my body which I'm told were mast cell tumors so I had to have surgery. They removed everything and I got a clean bill of health. I'm so grateful that I was saved in time. Some things were scary when I moved in with my temporary family. But they've been very patient with me and I have really found my true personality. I'm very sweet and LOVE ear and head scratches. My foster mom says my head is as soft as velvet. If you decide to stop, I'll give you a little paw or invade your personal space so you know to keep going. I also LOVE my foster fur siblings. They have one of each size and I play and cuddle with them all. I love to snuggle up with them when it's nap or bedtime so I would really love a fur sibling whose sweet and playful. I'm doing really great at going potty outside as long as I'm kept on my schedule and guess what? I can be left out overnight to snooze and I stay put on the couch or my dog bed with no accidents! I do pretty good on a leash and would love someone who would take me for walks. I'm a hound! I love to have my nose to the ground and sniff. I don't mind the wildlife so I'm not a very good watch dog (ha-ha) I would love it if my new family had a fenced in yard so I could be set free and explore because I love doing it at my foster home. I get along with children and obviously other dogs but my foster doesn't have any cats so I'm not sure how I'd do? But I know I'm sweet and listen so I don't think it would be a problem. I will tell you one really scary thing for me? Is that crate! My foster mom does put me in it when they leave the house and it makes me shake but after a few minutes I lay down and go to sleep. So what do you think? Do you think a middle aged playful yet calm dog is the perfect addition to your family? I promise I won't disappoint once you get to know me.
