DOG FRIENDLY POCKET PITTIE ALERT Beckham is one super cool little dude. Weighing a whopping 42lbs this sexy beast has every reason to fear people yet seeks constant approval and affection. After being "kicked out" by a reported owner and running in fear and trying to survive for several months he was humanely trapped. While running, he was hit by a car, stayed aloof and ran from people. Once trapped it was immediately clear this sensitive soul just wanted to be loved and feel safe. We fixed his hip and started getting to know him. Sadly, some of his behavior indicates someone was not nice to him so he is afraid of things held by hand, terrified of mops and brooms and really struggles with men. Male volunteers love him and with a slow approach Beckham returns the favor. He will need someone to help him navigate his new world with patience, love and kindness. He is Dog social, absolutely silly, loves treats and is super easy to work with.
