Border Collie Mix Dog for Adoption in HOUSTON, Texas, 77277 USNickname: Skye #ice-blue-eyes Posted Breed: Cattle Dog / Border Collie / Mixed (short coat). WHITE TIP ON HER TAIL DOB 1/4/23, weight 45 lbs. Skye is a super-sweet, happy, affectionate girl that looooves to spend time with her foster mom! She also likes to go for car rides, on walks in the park, trips to Petco and Petsmart, and doggy Day Care. She’s fine with all dogs, is indifferent to cats, and is good with both men and women (she hasn’t spent much time around children except at weekend adoptions but seems to be fine with them). She takes treats very gently, is okay with baths, and despite being a mix of herding breeds (Cattle Dog and Border Collie), she’s not a high-energy dog but more medium-energy. She has been through beginner’s obedience school and walks well on leash. She’s house trained, crate trained, and is not possessive of her toys. Skye was rescued from the 610 West Loop feeder-road after being grazed by a car. Fortunately, she didn’t have any broken bones -- just severe road rash. After a month of pain meds, antibiotics, and bed rest, she made a complete recovery. This perfect girl is ready for her perfect family! Skye’s ideal home would be with someone who wants to share their life with a loveable canine companion. A nice backyard is preferable, but mostly she just wants YOU in her life! Skye is completely vetted – spayed, heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed, on monthly heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.
