We host adoption events at Bentley's Pet Stuff every Saturday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The address for these events is 2000 E County Line Rd, Littleton, CO Hi! My name is Thor. I am a loveable 2 ½ year old male mix. My birthday is 9/15/2019. We believe I’m American Foxhound but aren’t sure what the other breeds may be. I weigh roughly 65 pounds and stand about 28” from the ground to the top of my head. I get along very well with female dogs, but I don’t do well with male dogs. I love being around kids of all ages. I’m very gentle but can get excited when they first come to visit. I am lucky enough to be able to lay and sleep on the couch. My favorite ways to sleep are in the throw pillows or with my front half on the ottoman and my back feet on the couch. I know the commands of sit, sit pretty, laydown, shake, stay and wait. During feeding time, I do as I’m told to sit and stay while my food is placed on my rug. I’m then told to come and given a pat on the back with a ‘good boy’ reward. I have never tried to eat my friend’s food or daily treats. When I was little, I was crate trained, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been in one. I have free rein of the house. I am house trained. I am very loyal and love to be loved. I’ll take all the loving you can give. Laying on the couch with my owner is awesome. To show more than the normal affections, I add a special way known as ‘Loving Affections’ which is very prominent with my breed. I’ll put the edge of a sleeve or bottom of your shirt in my mouth and just hold it as I wag my tail. I have never ripped or torn one, but you will usually have to tell me to let go. I need lots of exercise or I can get bored and become a little mischievous. I have never chewed things like furniture, pillows, or blankets, I’d rather be on, in or wrapped up in them. However, if you leave my treats or food in reach, I have been known to eat a whole bag. I’ve also destroyed toys leaving the stuffing all over. I just have to get the squeaker out. I know I need and am ready for more training. I have a tendency of jumping up on people when they first come to visit. I’m ok with walking on a leash, but sadly my owner has had to have two hip surgeries over the last two years and was in the hospital for over a month just recently with pneumonia and now can’t give me the exercise I need. When her human friend took me on a walk, I tended to pull on the leash. Applications can be found at mamcorescue.
