Brittany Dog for Adoption in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, 36101 USNickname: AL/Pete Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hi everyone! This is Pete! He's a very sweet, affectionate and playful 2 year old neutered male purebred Brittany. Pete was rescued from a kill shelter by a wonderful couple in Alabama who had recently lost their Brittany. No one came to claim Pete and the couple could not bare to see him linger at the shelter where he could possibly be euthanized. The couple brought him home, had all of his vaccinations updated, was microchipped and neutered. But after a short while, the couple realized that Pete needed more attention and exercise than they were capable of giving him at their age. So they offered Pete to NBRAN to find the best home for him. Pete loves to play with other dogs and being near people. He would do best in a home with another playmate, a secure physical fenced yard, and a family who is home enough to give him the attention he needs. Pete is housebroken but has not been crate trained. He is very attentive and is well aware of his surroundings. His caregiver believes that Pete would make a great hunter or service dog with the proper training. Pete is an energetic young Brittany who needs a job that requires him to think as well as act. Pete's unlimited potential makes him a wonderful companion for any family looking for a Brittany who has his special characteristics. Pete is currently with a caregiver in northwest Georgia. He can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad. His adoption fee is $400 to offset the cost of vetting and to help other Brittanys in need. The adoption process requires a phone interview, a home visit, and a veterinary reference showing all pets were kept up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and monthly heartworm preventative.
