These two bright and bubbly puppies, Ripple (male) and Brook (female), were born in the comfort of a foster home to a rat terrier mom, who was rescued from a Georgia shelter. The shelter reported that their father might have been a dachshund (which would explain their floppy ears), but whatever their mixed parentage, they're 100% cute! Now nearly 4 months old and weighing 7-8 lbs., they will likely weigh in the range of 15-20 lbs. as adults. Both puppies are sweet, playful, and energetic. Ripple is slightly more outgoing but is less apt to try new things. Brook has a streak of independence but also loves to cuddle and be on someone's lap. They are crate trained for sleeping and traveling, as well as for safety when left alone at home. They use potty pads to eliminate indoors but also look forward to being rewarded with treats for 'going' outdoors. Each puppy will go to its adoptive home with a house-training book so that their new families can help them perfect those skills. They haven't learned to walk on a leash yet but are practicing the concept daily. Brook and Ripple enjoy the freedom of their foster home's fenced yard, where they can run and play chase. They'll need lots of exercise in their forever home and would also enjoy another canine playmate (but would probably be fine as an only dog too).
