Bullboxer Pit Dog for Adoption in Princeton, Minnesota, 55414 USNickname: Leonard Posted Breed: Boxer / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 450. Leonard is a good-natured boy who loves running, playing, and having fun. He has all the goofy, bouncy characteristics of a boxer that will keep you laughing. Leonard lives with four other dogs in his foster home and gets along well with everyone. He's food motivated, listens well, and is housetrained. While he's good with kids, at 70lbs, he could easily knock over smaller ones. He’s kennel trained and stays in his kennel when home alone. However, he will sometimes sing the song of his people before settling down in his kennel, so a home without shared walls would be best. Leonard also has a strong prey drive, so cats are a big NO. He walks well on a leash until he sees a squirrel or rabbit (or cat), in which case all bets are off, so hold on tight! Hopefully, his prey drive will decrease with time as he gets more exposure to fleeing critters while on walks. Overall, Leonard is a well-behaved dog and does best when his physical and mental needs are met. He enjoys going on walks and exploring the outdoors. He also LOVES to run. Whether it’s playing chase with other dogs around the park or jogging with you around a lake, if he’s running, he’s happy. Oh, and he loves water! He thinks splashing in the kiddie pool is a blast. I consider him a “take-anywhere” dog, so if you’re active and looking for an adventure buddy, Leonard might be your boy! Leonard was an owner surrender.
